Well Stevie boy, firstly I need you to calm down! Go outside, take some deep breaths and count to ten. This boisterous attitude of yours won’t help in the slightest. The lock we need to open is ‘positivity’ and fortunately for you, I’ve got the key. Steven, welcome to the world of Aromatherapy.
Looking at your picture it looks like you’ve got a case of the sniffles. But don’t you worry I’ve got some essential oils up my sleeve to strengthen that immune system of yours. I’m glad you decided to put on some gloves, but it’s a shame you couldn’t blow your nose with a tissue. Steve life is all about taking baby steps.
Let’s get to business, do you prefer to be called, Stevie Boy, Steve or Steven? Also, here’s a top 3 list of the best essential oils to help your immune system. (In my opinion)
TOP 3 OILS!
1. Eucalyptus Blue Gum I love a bit of Euca! It is perfect for killing horrible odours and bacteria. So maybe that smelly dog bed in your living room is making you ill, or maybe your cheesy shoes Steve. In my opinion get some Eucalyptus, mix it with a bit of water and spray away!
It’s amazing at cleansing the air. So, either burn it in an Oil Burner or even go a bit fancy and get yourself a Bluetooth Diffuser. Both are supplied here at Mystic Moments.
Eucalyptus essential oil is highly effective for treating respiratory problems, such as asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, and even tuberculosis. Using eucalyptus for asthma is a proven treatment that dilates the blood vessels and allows more oxygen into the lungs. I simply spray it into my shower for a steam version, delightful.
2.Peppermint Arvensis Peppermint is simply brilliant. It boasts a high concentration of vitamins C and A. These minerals and vitamins help treat a variety of disorders.
To kick things off Peppermint oil improves the functioning of the immune system. It’s antioxidants, like vitamin C, prevent the generation of free radicals. If you know what I mean Steve 😉
It also helps with digestion issues. The menthol in the oil helps soothe stomach muscles, aiding digestion and keeping the urinary tract free of infections. It can also help treat irritable bowel syndrome, congestion, excessive gas and heartburn. Maybe you’re a little gassy Steve, maybe that’s the real reason you’re covering your nose. Don’t worry, just get yourself a bit of peppermint.
The oil also is known to be helpful in relieving symptoms such as a sore throat, stomach illnesses, and severe bronchitis. The peppermint oil can improve the functionality of the lungs with its high amount of Vitamin C!
This oil has been knocking around for more than 2,500 years. Steve, It’s an absolute legend in the oil community. The properties of this oil are antibacterial, anti-fungal, antiviral, anti-parasite and antioxidant – make it effective against many environmental threats and harmful microbes. Sounds pretty good right?
So it’s perfect for supporting the Immune System and is great against all environmental threats. Oregano essential oil has the ability to ease the discomforts from a sore throat and it is basically the perfect cleanser. Steve, get yourself a bit of Oregano and purify that body of yours!
METHODS OF USING ESSENTIAL OILS FOR IMMUNE SYSTEM SUPPORT MASSAGE
Steve, who doesn’t love a massage? Massages promote relaxation and can stimulate the lymphatic system to remove toxins and impurities from the body. The human body is a bunch of complex systems, in which the mind, body and emotions are all connected. Massage promotes happiness, relieves pain and stress and boosts the immune system too. REMEMBER TO DILUTE THE ESSENTIAL OILS USING A CARRIER OIL! I RECOMMEND ALMOND SWEET. BATH
Baths are a wonderful way to relax and get the benefits of immune boosting essential oils. To be frank, I love a good bath! But a bath full of essential oils, simply magical. For a standard bathtub, I’d recommend 10 to 15 drops of essential oil. But you don’t just want to drop the essential oils straight into the water. There’s a method to my madness. Drop the essential oils underneath the running tap. I do it this way so that the essential oils disperse evenly into the bath. INHALATION
This is simple, add some essential oils to a diffuser and turn it on while you’re going about your day. I like to diffuse when I’m eating, when I’m sleeping, when I’m cooking, when I’m working. You get the idea, Steve. I like diffusing a lot. You could even add one to two drops to the palm of one hand. Rub your palms together to warm up the oil and then cup your hands over your nose. Inhale deeply several times. But some people may be sensitive to the essentials oils so only try this if you’re feeling brave Steve.
